DTEA II (15% active) is recommended for use in closed loop systems as:
general cleanout (100 ppm product; 15 ppm active) of organic deposits and film
a general maintenance chemical (30-100 ppm product; 5-15 ppm active) to reduce the use levels of biocide and to reduce
the 'demand' on oxidizing biocides
prolongs the life of nitrite inhibitors and prevents their breakdown in closed loop systems
allows the use of glycol for 'moth balling' so that glycol does not degrade and promote organic deposition
