DTEA II: interaction warnings
Do not use DTEA II with aldehydes unless a compatibility test has been run by adding use levels of DTEA II (30 - 100
ppm) to use levels of the particular aldehyde such as glutaraldehye biocide.
DTEA II (15% active) is recommended for use in cooling towers for:
- general cleanout (100 ppm product; 15 ppm active) of organic deposits and film
- a general maintenance chemical (30-100 ppm product; 5-15 ppm active) to reduce the use levels of biocide and to reduce
the 'demand' on oxidizing biocides
The uses of DTEA II are as:
- a general organic deposit and film removal agent
- a general organic deposit control agent
- corrosion inhibitor supplement to reduce the use of corrosion inhibitors
- to reduce the levels of biocide needed
- to reduce the 'demand' on oxidizing biocides
